“Portrait of Mahvash” is about Masoumeh Azizi Borujerdi, a famous Iranian pop icon in the 50s. This short paper-cut-out animation shows the main events of her life and different opinions about her character. She was an artist and an obscene woman and had a controversial life, but unknown to the younger generation. Actual/archival photos of Mahvash have been printed and used for making this short.
